What do I need before my first recording?

A modern browser (Chrome, Edge or Safari), microphone permission granted to the site, and a quiet-enough room. Nothing to install; recording runs entirely in the browser.

How do I set my preferred language?

Open Settings and pick your preferred language. New consultations default to it, and auto-detection uses it as an anchor when the spoken language is ambiguous.

Where do I add my hospital name and logo?

Open the branding editor from a consultation's export panel. Your hospital name and logo are stored on your device and applied to SOAP note PDFs and appeal letters.

Which noise preset should I use?

Auto is recommended: it samples the live input level and selects Quiet Room, Normal or Noisy for you. Override it manually if your environment changes mid-consultation.

Which languages are supported?

Consultations can be captured in a broad set of languages including English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and Swahili, plus Yoruba and Hausa. Auto Detect works across all of them, with extra anchoring for African languages.

Why is auto-detect choosing the wrong language?

Set your preferred language in Settings. When detection is low-confidence or lands on a known confusable language, ScribeMDPro re-runs the pass anchored to your preference and tells you it corrected.

The recording failed on my desktop — what now?

Audio is re-encoded in the browser to a widely supported format before upload, so most desktop failures resolve on retry. If it persists, check that no other application is holding the microphone.

Is audio stored?

Accepted Answer

No. Audio is processed to produce a transcript and is not retained as a stored recording.

Do I have to review the note before using it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every note is an AI draft until you review and approve it. ScribeMDPro will not finalize documentation on your behalf, and there is no setting that bypasses clinician review.

What do the confidence scores mean?

The confidence and timestamps panel shows per-segment transcription confidence. Low-confidence segments are the most likely place for a mis-hearing, so review those first.

Why does the note omit age and sex?

Demographics are deliberately excluded unless you add them, because inferred demographics were a source of incorrect statements. Add them yourself where they are clinically relevant.

How do I copy or export a note?

Use the copy icon beside any section title to copy that section, or Copy Full Note for the whole document. Download PDF produces a branded, printable note.

How does the free trial work?

You get a fixed number of complete consultations. A trial consultation is only counted after a generation succeeds, so failed or retried attempts do not consume your allowance.

How do shared clinic workspaces work?

Create a clinic, then invite colleagues by email. Members of a clinic can see patients and consultations shared with that clinic; owners and admins manage membership.

How long is an invitation valid?

Invitation links expire after 72 hours and can only be accepted by the email address they were issued to.

The microphone is not detected.

Grant microphone permission for the site in your browser's address-bar site settings, then reload. On macOS also check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.

Transcription returns an empty result.

Accepted Answer

This usually means the recording captured no usable speech. Check the live audio meter is moving while you speak, then retry. If it persists in a specific language, contact support with the time of the attempt.

The PDF preview will not open on mobile.

On small screens the preview is replaced by a direct download — tap Download PDF and open it in your device's PDF viewer.
